Making a Living from Art: The Codes That Matter to Me
This is not only for muralists. It is for tattoo artists, musicians, painters, sculptors, designers, and anyone trying to make a living from their talent.
Over the years, I have learned that talent is only one part of it. How you work, how you treat people, and whether you honor your word matter just as much.
I learned these lessons through working, making mistakes, meeting people, losing opportunities, and finding new ones. They have helped me keep growing through the difficulties that come with this path.
I am still learning. But if sharing what I have learned helps another artist build their own path, it is worth doing. Talent can open a door. What you do once it opens makes the difference.
