Series: "Santa Mano"
Santa Mano was born from an obsession: the emotional expressiveness of hands as protagonists in figurative art. Inspired by Baroque paintings that convey motion without photographic references, I reinterpreted fragments from classical works using a modern perspective, both in execution and symbolism.
Each hand is paired with a symbolic element (a rose, a key, a heart) serving as visual metaphors for what we carry, protect, or surrender.
The treatment of the backgrounds and the color palette responds to a personal question: what would a wall from the 17th century look like covered in graffiti? That’s how this fusion of history and street, divinity and rawness, was born.
